Delete Your Account

We're sorry to see you go. Here's how to delete your Receipto account and what happens when you do.

What happens when you delete your account

When you delete your account, we permanently remove:

  • Your profile information (name, email)
  • All receipts, including images and extracted data
  • Folders, tags, categories, and custom fields
  • Export history and analytics data
  • Notification preferences and reminders
  • Organization memberships

Your account is scheduled for deletion and fully removed within 30 days. During this period, you can contact us to cancel the deletion. After 30 days, deletion is irreversible.

If you have an active subscription, please cancel it through the App Store or Google Play before deleting your account to avoid continued billing.

Option 1: Delete from the mobile app

  1. Open the Receipto app on your iPhone or Android device.
  2. Tap the Settings icon (gear) in the top right corner.
  3. Scroll down to the bottom of the Settings page.
  4. Tap Delete Account.
  5. Select a reason for leaving (optional) and confirm.
  6. Your account will be scheduled for deletion.

Option 2: Delete from the web dashboard

  1. Sign in at web.receipto.app
  2. Go to Settings from the sidebar.
  3. Click Delete Account at the bottom of the page.
  4. Select a reason for leaving (optional) and confirm.

Delete specific data without deleting your account

If you don't want to delete your entire account but need to remove some data:

  • Receipts: You can delete individual receipts or bulk-delete them directly from the app or web dashboard. Go to your receipt list, select the receipts you want to remove, and tap Delete.
  • Folders, tags, and categories: Manage these from Settings → Manage Metadata in the app, or from the sidebar on the web dashboard.
  • Other data: For any other data removal requests (e.g. analytics data, email forwarding history, or organization data), please contact us at the email below and we'll handle it within 48 hours.
